1st Holiday Card Project 2007

Description

Update (Nov. 3rd) --> Fixed, as best I could, the shadows. Desaturated the gingerbread house and the mom and child, added an exposure mask to the whole thing (it seemed to blend in the bench and shadow better, it made everything look a little darker, but I can live with that :D) and a colour mask of some sort (can't remember what kind, lol)...

Alright, I'm getting ahead of the game here, because the project hasn't even been announced yet for this year, lol. But, I wanted to start now that I had the chance, being off of work and all... since I'd like to make several cards this year. Every year, dA has a holiday card project [link] during which you send them holiday cards to be distributed in hospitals for people who are ill and such... I only had a chance to make 1 card last year because I ran out of time. So, this year, I'm starting creating early. :p

Since I'm in a photomanip frenzy these days, it goes without saying that I had to make my 1st 2007 card a manipulation, right? :D How does it look? I still have plenty of time for adjustments if any are needed.

All images and brushes come from other sources than mine, but the words are my own.

This is so cute. I like that you added Santa and his sleigh :) One thing though, the brushes you used up top in red made me think of blood, eep!
