At the Cleveland Zoo, next to the gray wolves exhibit, this eagle stands, or I more accurately that day he was resting, lol. :D

This one's for my other half :iconceltic-whisper:, who likes birds of prey. :date: Sure, he's not flying around or diving on a prey or anything fancy like that, but I'm rather happy about the way it came out (I was lucky that it was close-by, so I ended up with a nice close shot). How does it look in full size, Honey?

Question goes for everyone else, too, lol... How does it look? =p

Thank you. I don't think this one can actually fly anymore... He wasn't in a cage or even behind a mesh fence. He was just sitting there, on the other side of the railing, with nothing to keep him from getting away. They ahd 2 others who were in a large birdcage with a vulture, but I couldn't get a good picture of those because of the mesh and the fact that they were much further.

Oh man, I live in a suburb of Cleveland and I go to that zoo all the time. That eagle's always been a prime target for my camera because it's in that little area with no bars or glass or anything.

Awesome shot and it's really cool to see something from somewhere I know... :)

Thanks. :aww:

Yes, that eagle is a good target for cameras since it's so close and not hidden behind a fence of any kind. :D Now, the wolves on the other hand... I'm not at all happy with the way they set the whole wolf exhibit up, because you can't see them at all (I'm not even going to mention the little video camera screen they set up in the top corner... it's close to useless). I understand the wolves like to be away from human presence as much as possible, but did they really have to make them so innacessible? :disbelief: Bah, don't mind me, I'm rambling again, lol.

My husband is from around Cleveland, and we lived there for 7 years when we got married, so we went to the Zoo all the time, too (we were on the east side though, so that was a bit of a way, but it was always worth it). :aww: And to the Botanical Gardens, the Holden Arboretum... the Art Museum also. I was a bit pissed when we got there this year to visit and found out that the art museum was close, lol. Ah well, it's for a good cause, since they're renovating and making it bigger. Hopefully, it'll look nice when we come back to visit again... in something like 3 years' time, lol.

I've only seen the wolves out once or twice, but when they ARE around it's awesome. I was there one day and they were actually playing in the big pond thing with the beaver. xD

I live about a half hour away from the zoo and all of that, so I'm kind of lucky. :) I would really like to be able to go see some other zoos, though. Right now I'm kind of stuck with this one. ;p

Darn, I wish they had been around one of the times I was there. That would have been neat. :aww: I've ever only got a glimpse of one of them behind the trees in back, through the glass window... :(

We were in the Colombus Zoo about 10 eyars ago I believe, and that was nice. Whenever we visit another city, we try to go to the zoo there, but we don't always make it, lol. Here, where we live now, there is a large park downtown and they do have a little zoo inside, but it's not that big. There's also a wolf and birds of prey park about an hour from here and we just went there last weekend and THAT wa
